CANADIAN LIBERALS SWEEP TO POWER

Congratulations to Justin Trudeau and the Canadian Liberals, who've just swept to power from third place with an overall majority, increasing their seats nearly sixfold and displacing the Conservatives.

Policy commitments include borrowing to improve infrastructure, taking more Syrian refugees, doing more to combat climate change (the outgoing administration was notorious on this point) and...introducing proportional representation, which would have meant they wouldn't have had that overall majority!
